IPL: Delhi Daredevils canter home by eight wickets against Kings XI Punjab
It was a poor batting performance from Punjab who were restricted to 111/9 in their 20 overs.
Delhi Daredevils secured their first win of the 2016 Indian Premier League, chasing down a paltry 112 against Kings XI Punjab at home with eight wickets in hand.
It was a dismal batting performance from Punjab who were put in to bat. Apart from Manan Vohra (32 off 24), none of their batsman could get going as they lost wickets in a heap, finally finishing at 111/8 in their stipulated 20 overs. Amit Mishra starred for Delhi, picking up 4/11 in his three overs, while Zaheer Khan showed that he was back to his best, conceding only 14 in his four overs and picking up a wicket.
Delhi's Shreyas Iyer was dismissed cheaply, but there were no more hiccups. Quinton de Kock (59 not out off 42 balls) and Sanju Samson (33 off 32 balls) came together and took the Daredevils to the first win of their season.
