Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday directed another accusation towards the Narendra Modi government, saying the Centre spent more than Rs 1000 crore on advertisements to mark the National Democratic Alliance government’s two years in office. Kejriwal made these claims on Twitter citing unnamed sources.

Kejriwal then compared the figure with the expenditure incurred by all departments of the Delhi government, claiming it was less than Rs 150 crore annually. In the past, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have both accused AAP of having a large budget for advertisements, PTI reported.

The AAP leader has never been reserved about his criticism of the Modi government, which completed two years in office on Thursday. The Centre has organised an event – "Zara Muskura Do" – on May 28 at India Gate to commemorate the milestone.
