African nationals allegedly beat up an Ola cabs driver in Delhi for refusing to ferry more than four passengers in the vehicle, ANI reported. The identities of the assailants are currently not known.
The news comes at a time when African nationals have been the unwarranted targets of a number of attacks. A Congolese man was killed in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area on May 20 after an altercation over hiring an autorickshaw. Five days later, a Nigerian was assaulted with an iron rod in Hyderabad following an argument over a parking spot. Several African nationals were attacked with cricket bats and iron road on in South Delhi on Sunday.
