Veteran comedian Razak Khan dies
The popular film and television actor suffered a cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Bollywood actor Razak Khan died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. Reports said he was taken to Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, where he was declared brought dead around 12.30 am.
His son Asad Khan, who works in Croatia, will reach Mumbai and the funeral will be at Narialwadi Kabaristan, Byculla, in Mumbai on Thursday, The Times of India reported.
The comedian made his Bollywood debut with Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in 1993 and has been in more than 90 movies including Raja Hindustani (1996), Hello Brother (1999), Hera Pheri (2000), Partner (2007) and Action Jackson (2014).
Khan was known for playing characters like Babu Bisleri (Hungama) and Ninja Chacha (Hello Brother). His roles in Baadshah, as Manikchand, and appearances in films including Joru Ka Ghulam and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum are considered to be among his best.
