Five convicted for raping Danish woman in Delhi in 2014

Five people were convicted by Delhi's Tis Hazari Court on Monday for raping a Danish woman near New Delhi railway station in 2014. The quantum of the sentence will be announced on June 9.
Nine men, including three minors, were accused of assaulting the 52-year-old woman on January 4 that year after taking her to an isolated place near the Divisional Railway Officers' Club close to the station. Arjun, Raju alias Chhakka, Mohammad Raja, Mahendra alias Ganja, Raju alias Bajji and Shyam Lal allegedly led her to the spot at knife-point after she asked them for directions to her hotel in Paharganj.
Shyam Lal died in Tihar jail in February. Three juveniles are also facing proceedings before the Juvenile Justice Board.
