Rajasthan MLA's son reportedly drives BMW into auto, kills three
The car, belonging to BJP legislator Nand Kishor, then hit a Police Control Room van and injured four more people.
Three people were killed on the spot and one more injured in a road accident in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Saturday. The accident took place when the speeding BMW belonging to Sikar (Fatehpur) MLA Nand Kishor first collided with an autorickshaw and then rammed into a Police Control Room van, reported ANI.
While an assistant superintendent of police was injured, those deceased have not yet been identified. Three other police personnel were also injured. Police confirmed that Nand Kishor's son Sidharth was driving the car, and said he and his cousin, who was also in the car, have both been detained. While the three-wheeler was completely mangled, the luxury car suffered a big dent in the front.
Sidharth however denied that he was driving the car, and said he had not been drinking either. Police are awaiting blood test results to confirm his blood alcohol levels. Sidharth and his cousin are likely to be charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Manish Agarwal told Hindustan Times.
