A Bihar district court on Thursday ordered that an FIR be filed against Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati, and three other party leader for allegedly making "inflammatory" speeches last week. They had made derogatory comments about Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dayashankar Singh at a public meeting in Lucknow on July 21, after Singh had compared the BSP chief to a sex worker. The others named in the court's order were BSP's National General Secretary Nasimuddin Siddiqui, Uttar Pradesh unit President Ram Achal Rajbhar and state Secretary Mewa Lal.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Jairam Prasad was hearing a complaint filed by a Hajipur resident. Petitioner Ajit Singh had said that the speeches by the BSP leaders threatened the unity and integrity of the country, reported PTI.
