Cricket: India leave West Indies tottering at 48/4 on rainy Day 4
Only 15 overs were played, at the end of which the hosts still faced a deficit of 256 runs with only six wickets in hand.
Only 15.5 overs were played on a rain-interrupted fourth day on Tuesday in the second Test at Jamaica, but India manage to take out four West Indian wickets to give themselves a good chance of taking a 2-0 lead in the series. West Indies were on 48/4 in their second innings at the close of play, still trailing by 256 runs after India declared at 500/9 in their first.
After a delayed start, Mohammed Shami got one to bounce a little extra and rattle opener Rajendra Chandrika's stumps. A spell of rain began again, but in the little cricket that was played till lunch, West Indies were abysmal. Kraig Brathwaite holed out to KL Rahul off a Amit Mishra half-tracker.
Shami left the opposition reeling further after accounting for Marlon Samuels for a duck and dismissing Darren Bravo off another short delivery. Lunch was taken after that wicket, and rain prevented any further play in the day.
