Sikh activist enters Guinness World Records for being the ‘youngest female with full beard'
Britain's Harnaam Kaur, who is known for her body positivity campaigns, said, 'the inner child in me is so pleased'.
A 24-year-old Sikh activist and model on Thursday entered the Guinness World Records for being the “youngest female with a full beard”. Harnaam Kaur, who is popular on social media for her body positivity campaigns, was given a place in the book for her six-inch-long beard.
The resident of Slough, United Kingdom, said she chose to reclaim her body after facing years of bullying. She said on her Instagram page, “I am super proud to hold this record, the inner child in me is so pleased. It is amazing to be valued and celebrated being a Bearded Lady.”
Guinness World Records named Kaur among its "stars of 2017" while releasing its newest book. Among the other entries were stunt man Josef Toedtling from Austria (“Longest duration full-body burn) and Lizzy, a great Dane from Florida (“Tallest living dog – female”).
