Davis Cup: David Ferrer wins against India's Saketh Myneni 6-1 6-2 6-1
The world No.13 dominated the match from the very beginning to give Spain their second victory of the day.
It took only an hour and 18 minutes for David Ferrer to give Spain a 2-0 lead in the Davis Cup Tennis tournament, after winning against Saketh Myneni 6-1 6-2 6-1.
From the onset, it was clear that it was the Spaniard who would have the upper hand in the contest and the rallies were almost a no-contest between the two. Myneni won a point but there was very little to cheer during the rest of the set for the Indian. The first set finished at 1-6.
India's highest ranked singles player was outclassed in the second set as well. Ferrer's returns were aimed at the flanks, and he picked up points with ease. At 0-5 in the second set, Myneni infused some life in the game after handing three consecutive break points to Ferrer. But Ferrer's the pattern continued in the third set too and he comfortably won the match.
