F1: Lewis Hamilton registers 50th career win at United States Grand Prix
Hamilton trails his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, who was second, by 26 points with three races to go.
Lewis Hamilton drove his way to his 50th Formula One victory at the United States Grand Prix in Austin on Sunday. Hamilton has now won the third highest number of races in Formula One, with only Alain Prost (51) and Michael Schumacher (91) ahead of him.
With this win, Hamilton cut his championship points deficit to 26 points behind Nico Rosberg, who came in second. This was Hamilton's first win since the German Grand Prix in July and with three races and 75 points available, the duo are set for an exciting finish this season. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, who finished third eventually, was fighting it out with Rosberg till the very end.
