Twitter's India MD Parminder Singh resigns as exodus of top-level executives continues
Singh's moves comes a day after the head of the social media site's country operations Rishi Jaitly quit.
Twitter’s Managing Director for India, South-East Asia, the Middle east and North Africa Parminder Singh resigned from his position on Thursday, a day after the social media site’s India head Rishi Jaitly stepped down. Singh’s departure marks a series of high-level changes in Twitter’s management, even as the company’s growth slows down globally and layoffs continue at its offices around the world.
Maya Hari will take over as the new managing director of India and South-East Asia. Singh had joined Twitter in 2013. He was previously with Google, heading the company’s display advertising segment in the Asia Pacific region, Business Standard reported.
Jaitly announced his resignation in similar fashion on Wednesday. He was the vice president for Twitter's Asia Pacific region, which includes India, West Asia and North Africa.
