Pakistan on Monday said it has handed over a dossier on alleged ceasefire violations carried out by India along the Line of Control to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan. Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria on Twitter said that representatives of the international organisation were called to the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. At this meeting, Pakistan submitted a dossier on ‘repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement’ by India along the LoC.

The move by Pakistan comes after it said that four of its citizens, including three children, were killed in cross-border firing in the Khuiratta Sector along the LoC on November 19. In his tweet, Zakaria also said that Pakistan has requested the UN body to investigate the incident.

In September, while speaking at the UN General Assembly, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said that it will share dossier with the UN Secretary General on brutalities carried out by India in Kashmir.
