Petrol price hiked by 13 paise a litre, diesel slashed by 12 paise
The rates were revised in line with the the current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel, Indian Oil Corporation said.
Petrol rates on Wednesday rose by 13 paise a litre while diesel prices dropped by 12 paise a litre following international trends, fuel retailer Indian Oil Corporation announced. The hike excludes state levies and will be effective from midnight on November 30. In Delhi, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 66.10 a litre from Wednesday midnight, 17 paise higher than its previous price of 65.93.
Diesel rates in Delhi reduced from Rs 54.71 to Rs 54.57 a litre. Fuel prices were last hiked on November 16, when petrol prices rose by Rs 1.46 and diesel by Rs 1.53 per litre, excluding state charges, PTI reported.
A statement issued by the Indian Oil Corporation said, “The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant increase in selling price of petrol and decrease in selling prices of diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision.”
