Pakistani national apprehended by Indian Army in Poonch sector
The intruder was shot at by the security personnel and suffered minor injuries.
A Pakistani national was apprehended by the Army near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday. The 40-year-old intruder was injured in firing and given first-aid later on, reported ANI.
The intruder, identified as Mohammad Nadeem of Abbaspur, crossed over to this side of LoC from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He was spotted by a few army personnel, reported PTI. When he tried to run away, he was shot at, resulting in minor injuries. He was later handed over to the police and arrested.
On November 22, a Pakistani national was killed by the Border Security Force troops in RS Pura sector after he crossed over from Pakistan. The man reached very close to the Indian fence amid dense fog when he was challenged by the Indian Army, reported ANI. The Army said it shot him down when he did not heed repeated warnings.
