Uttarakhand: At least 22 dead after bus falls into Bhagirathi river

At least 22 people died after the bus they were travelling in fell into Uttarakhand’s Bhagirathi river, ANI reported. All were residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The vehicle was carrying 29 people, three of whom have been rescued so far. The bus was travelling from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. The passengers were Char Dham yatra devotees, LiveHindustan reported.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the victims’ families, and Rs 50,000 to those injured in the accident, ANI reported.
