VK Sasikala’s parole application rejected, Karnataka prisons authority asks for fresh plea
The department said her plea was inadequate, and sought more details.
A parole application filed by ousted All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader VK Sasikala to visit her ailing husband was rejected by the Karnataka prisons department on Tuesday, ANI reported. The department said the application was inadequate, and asked her to submit a fresh one with more details.
Sasikala had on Monday applied for a 15-day parole to see her estranged husband M Natarajan, who has been hospitalised in Chennai for liver and kidney failure. The ousted AIADMK leader has been lodged in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison since February after the Supreme Court convicted her in a disproportionate assets case.
