Illegal structure at Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies office demolished by BMC
The company said it was a tenant and not the owner of the property.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Thursday demolished an illegal construction at actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies VFX office in Mumbai’s Goregaon suburb, reported PTI. A 2,000-square-foot canteen had illegally been built as an open terrace on the fourth floor of DLH Park building in Goregaon, a civic official said.
The canteen area has been cleared following complaints by local ward officers, the official was quoted as saying.
In a statement, Red Chillies said: “Red Chillies VFX is a tenant and not the owner of the property mentioned. The building has an open area outside with seating, which employees use for eating food that they get from home.”
The company also claimed that the part demolished by the BMC had “energy saving solar panels which provide clean energy to the entire Vfx building”.
