Several injured after car ploughs into pedestrians in London, one detained
The incident took place near the National History Museum, and the police are not treating it as terrorism yet.
The Metropolitan Police of London on Saturday detained a man after a car ploughed into pedestrians near the the Natural History Museum. The police said a number of pedestrians were injured and that authorities and the London Ambulance Service were at the scene.
The incident took place at Exhibition Road in South Kensington. A spokesperson for the police told The Guardian that is it “not being treated as a terrorist incident at this stage while we establish what has happened”.
There are no details on the suspect who has been detained yet. An investigation is on to “establish the circumstances and motive” behind the incident, which the police described as a collision.
