Dera Sacha Sauda inquiry: Honeypreet Insan, accomplice sent to judicial custody till October 23
The Haryana Police told the Panchkula court that a mobile phone had been recovered from Ram Rahim Singh’s adopted daughter, but no laptop had been found.
The Panchkula District Court on Friday sent Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh’s adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan and her accomplice Sukhdeep Kaur to judicial custody in Ambala jail till October 23, ANI reported. The Haryana Police told the court that a mobile phone had been recovered from Honeypreet Insan, but no laptop had been found.
Earlier, the court had 11 extended her police custody till October 13. The police had claimed that Honeypreey Insan distributed Rs 1.25 crore among some followers of the sect to incite violence in Panchkula on August 25 when Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in two rape cases.
Meanwhile, Dera Sacha Sauda chairperson Vipassana Insan appeared before a Special Investigation Team of the Haryana Police in Panchkula. He will be questioned in connection with the violence following Ram Rahim’s conviction, PTI reported quoting an unidentified police official.
