Passengers of Jhelum Express going from Pune to Jammu have alleged that robbers looted them of cash, jewellery and electronic items on Friday, PTI reported. At least five families travelling in A1 and B5 coaches claimed that they were robbed between 4 am and 7 am on Friday.

The passengers claimed somebody had sprayed something in their coaches because of which they felt drowsy, reported Hindustan Times. The passengers said they realised that their luggage and valuables were missing after they regained consciousness.

The matter came to light after one of the passengers tweeted to the Railway Ministry. Soon after, a Haryana Police team reached Ambala railway station, and a First Information Report was registered. Passengers also alleged that there was no police officer guarding the AC coaches where the incident took place.
