Maharashtra Congress General Secretary and spokesperson Mahadev Shelar was found dead at his house in Mumbai’s Mulund on Saturday, ANI reported. Police have registered a case of accidental death, Marathi daily Lokmat reported.

Shelar was taken to Fortis Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. The Congress leader’s body has been sent to Rajawadi hospital in Mumbai’s Ghaktopar suburb for a postmortem.
