Dera Sacha Sauda investigation: Judicial custody of Honeypreet Insan, accomplice extended again
The two will now remain in custody till November 6.
A Panchkula court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh’s adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan and Sukhdeep Kaur till November 6, PTI reported. The two appeared for the hearing through video-conferencing from the Ambala central jail.
Kaur is suspected to be Honeypreet Insan’s accomplice. The court had on Friday extended the custody till October 23, after the Haryana Police said that a mobile phone had been recovered from Honeypreet Insan.
The police had claimed that Honeypreey Insan distributed Rs 1.25 crore among some followers of the sect to incite violence in Panchkula on August 25 when Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in two rape cases.
The two had been missing for over a month after the incident, and were arrested in Punjab on October 3.
