A constable of the Central Industrial Security Force allegedly shot dead his wife and two others early Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, IANS reported.

The constable, Ingalapa Surinder, worked with the National Hydel Power Corporation and was stationed at the Dul Hasti Hydroelectric Plant. He is believed to have used his service rifle to kill his wife, a colleague and the colleague’s wife.

A murder case has been registered, Kishtwar’s Senior Superintendent of Police Abrar Choudhary told Greater Kashmir, adding that forensic experts will help the district police in the investigation. He said the investigation would be completed within 12 hours.

Surinder was arrested on Thursday morning and the rifle he used was seized, police said.
