Gurugram: NSG commando ends life after shooting at wife, sister-in-law, says report
The reason for the jawan’s actions is unknown.
A National Security Guard commando ended his life on Tuesday morning at the forces’ camp in Gurugram’s Manesar, The Indian Express reported. Assistant Sub Inspector Jitender Kumar shot his wife and sister-in-law at his accommodation before turning his service revolver upon himself, a police officer said.
“He died on the spot, while his wife and sister-in-law were rushed to Rockland Hospital, where they are stable and recovering,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Manesar) Dharambir Singh said. He added that the reason for the commando’s actions is yet unknown, and that a police team was investigating the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ashok Kumar said the jawan was earlier with the Border Security Force and had been posted in Manesar on deputation.
