Congress respects the prime minister’s post, but Modi can use any language against us: Rahul Gandhi
The Congress vice president said no one could stop the party from winning the Gujarat elections.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that the Opposition party suspended its senior leader Mani Shankar Aiyar because it respects the prime minister’s post, ANI reported. However, he added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was capable of using any language against the Congress.
“The Congress party is going to win elections in Gujarat and no one can stop it,” Gandhi said at a rally in Gujarat’s Chhota Udaipur district.
The Congress had suspended Aiyar from its primary membership on Thursday after he called Modi “neech”, or “low-life”. Gandhi had said that Aiyar’s comment does not fall in line with the culture and heritage of the party.
At the rally in Chhota Udaipur district, Gandhi also criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party for not releasing a manifesto for the election. “The BJP has not yet told you what it will do for you after the election,” he said. He claimed that the Congress would frame a policy to waive farm loans within 10 days of coming to power in Gujarat.
