Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu’s family declares their assets, son asks Opposition to follow
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son said that his family believes in transparency and has been declaring their assets for the past seven years.
The family of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday declared the assets that they own, continuing the practice for the seventh straight year.
The chief minister has financial liabilities worth Rs 3.58 crore, while he has net assets to the tune of Rs 2.53 crore, his son and minister Nara Lokesh said at a press conference in Vijayawada, Deccan Herald reported.
Lokesh said that he owns assets worth Rs 15.21 crore, while his wife Nara Brahmani posesses properties and resources valued at Rs 15.01 crore. Their son N Devansh owns assets worth Rs 11.54 crore, The Hindu reported. Nara Bhuvaneswari, the chief minister’s wife, has net assets worth of Rs 25.41 crore, but has Rs 20.90 crore of liabilities.
“We are declaring the assets taking the acquisition value into account. Present market value is not being taken into consideration as it fluctuates,” Lokesh said.
Taking a dig at Opposition parties, Lokesh said that they should also follow the precedent set by his family. He accused them of levelling baseless allegations against the Naidus.
