Four jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force died after a fellow officer shot at them. One was also injured in the shooting in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

The shooter was identified as Sant Ram, NDTV reported. He has been taken into custody.

It is not yet clear why the jawan opened fire. The incident took place in the CRPF’s camp in Basaguda.
