Telugu actor and comedian Vijay Sai was found dead at his Jubilee Hills apartment in Hyderabad on Monday morning. The 38-year-old actor’s housekeeper found him hanging from the ceiling in his bedroom, The New Indian Express reported.

Vijay Sai lived alone as he and his wife had separated.

Reports said the police suspect suicide but have not confirmed it yet. Local media reported that personal issues, financial trouble and a lack of film offers may have caused the actor to take the step.

Vijay Sai made his debut in the Telugu film industry in 2001. He has acted in films such as Bommarillu and Ammayilu Abbayilu, among others.
