On Delhi government’s third anniversary, Congress accuses Aam Aadmi Party of lying to citizens
Former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit accused the Arvind Kejriwal government of failing to fulfill its promises.

The Congress released a “chargesheet” against the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government that completed three years on Wednesday. At a press conference in the Capital, Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken and former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit accused the Arvind Kejriwal government of failing to fulfill its promises to the citizens of Delhi.
The document accused the Aam Aadmi Party of lying to the people of Delhi before coming to power. The government, the Congress document claims, failed to deliver on its promises to improve women’s safety, introduce a new fleet of Delhi Transport Corporation buses, deploy marshals and install CCTVs in public buses and improve education.
The “chargesheet” draws parallels between the Sheila Dixit government and the current Kejriwal administration while claiming that the Congress rule was better. The document cites the promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013 and 2015.
“On the issue of health, nothing concrete has been done and situation has worsened,” Zee News quoted Maken as saying. “As many as 9,149 people have died due to breathing trouble. At least 111 dispensaries, which were among those opened by the previous Congress government, have been shut down by AAP.”
