Two suspected militants killed in Anantnag’s Dooru town in South Kashmir
The police claimed that the men belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammed group and were Pakistani.

Security forces on Saturday killed two suspected militants in Anantnag district’s Dooru town in Jammu and Kashmir.
The two men were Pakistani and belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammed militant group, the police claimed. They came to the conclusion on the basis of the arms, ammunition and other materials they recovered from the encounter site.

The gunfight began late of Friday in Shestergam village in South Kashmir, according to the Greater Kashmir. A joint team of Indian Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group were carrying out a search operation when the suspected militants opened fire on them.
“The joint team fired some warning shots towards the suspected spot,” a police officer told the Greater Kashmir. “The militants in hiding opened fire, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight.”
He said the suspected militants began to fire at the security personnel after coming out of the house where they had taken shelter. Additional security forces were then called in, according to the United News of India.

In an encounter in Shishitergam Police station Dooru Anantnag; today morning two bodies of terrorists have been recovered along with two AK47s, pistols, grenades and arms and ammunition. Efforts are on to identify the bodies. Operation concluded. Keep up the good work boys.
