Police arrested a businessman on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a Russian woman on board a flight to Delhi, IANS reported. He was arrested after security personnel at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport handed him over to the police.

The man is a clothing trader in Russia. The incident took place on an Aeroflot flight that landed in Delhi on Wednesday morning.

“The woman complained that he touched her inappropriately during the flight to Delhi,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia said. “When she protested and resisted his actions, he abused her and made indecent gestures.”

The police have filed a case against the businessman under Section 354 (outraging a woman’s modesty) of the Indian Penal Code. An investigation is under way.
