Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to travel to US for medical treatment
However, it is not clear what treatment he will receive.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will leave for the United States in August for medical check-up and treatment, the state government said on Monday. He will not be home during the Onam festival.
Vijayan will be in the US from August 19 to September 6. He will be treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. However, it is not clear what treatment he will receive.
The general administration (political) department of the state government said that financial sanction had been given for Vijayan’s trip, The News Minute reported. His wife Kamala will accompany him on the trip.
This comes nearly five months after Vijayan was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai for what his office said was a “routine annual medical check-up”.
