All eight injured were admitted to hospital, of which two have been discharged. Jain remains in hospital.
“These vehicles were moving down the slope because of which their momentum was high,” Khan said. The truck driver has been identified as Pushpender, a resident of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. He escaped, but the police have detained his helper Vinay Kumar Singh.
