“We are verifying their claims and their interrogations are on,” an unidentified senior officer of the Special Cell said.
A team of the Delhi Police Special Cell visited the village of Sikh revolutionary Kartar Singh Sarabha, where the duo had said they would surrender on August 17. However, Shahpur and Dalal did not turn up that day, PTI reported.
In a video being circulated on messaging service WhatsApp, the men had claimed: “By attacking Khalid we wanted to give a gift to the people on the occasion of Independence Day.”
