Kong: Skull Island Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts directs the latest reboot of the King Kong story. The original story featured a gigantic ape on the titular island which fell in love with its blond captive, was captured and taken to New York City to be exhibited to the public, and escaped and laid waste to the city before being killed. In the 2017 version, an expedition that includes characters played by Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L Jackson, Brie Larson and John Goodman encounter the fierce beast in contest with the island’s equally fearsome native inhabitants.
