The official trailer of the penultimate season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is here. The seventh season comprises seven episodes, while the eighth and final edition will reportedly clock no more than six episodes.
Among the discernible plot points from a series notorious for suspense: Jon Snow hunkers down for battle, as does Cersei Lannister. Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons make a bid for the Iron Throne. In the words of Cersei, “Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it.” There are also flashes of the best-loved characters from the series, such as Tyrion, Sansa, Arya and Littlefinger. The massacre begins on July 16 on HBO.
