In Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met (2007), when Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) and Geet (Kareena Kapoor) seek shelter at Hotel Decent, Geet’s wariness about sharing a room with a stranger leads to one of the film’s most wicked banters.
In the second promo for Ali’s new movie Jab Harry Met Sejal, Anushka Sharma calmly hands over an indemnity bond to Shah Rukh Khan in a hotel room. “If there is some sexual interaction between us, amounting to or not amounting to full intercourse, you are absolved of all legal charges,” Sejal, a law graduate tells Khan’s character Harry in a barely convincing Gujarati accent.
Set in Europe, the August 4 release maps the love romance that develops between Sejal, who in in search of the perfect engagement ring, and her tourist guide Harry. The film is Khan and Sharma’s third collaboration after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
In the first mini trailer, Harry held forth on his lecherous nature. Co-produced by Khan’s company Red Chillies, the movie is expected to launch several such short trailers until the release.
