Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree is all set for the big-screen treatment. The Magic Faraway Tree is the second book in the Faraway Tree series that were written between 1939 and 1951. The books revolve around a magical tree that grows into the clouds and is large enough to host small houses. Jo, Bessie and Fanny are the three children who discover the tree and embark on strange adventures.
The movie will be written by Paddington 2 co-writer Simon Farnaby. “The Magic Faraway Tree books are a firework display of the imagination,” Farnaby told The Hollywood Reporter. “The pages are lit up with wonderful characters, humor, peril and adventure.” The film will be produced by StudioCanal in collaboration with Neal Street Productions.
