Actor Mahesh Babu will soon have a wax replica at a Madame Tussauds gallery. The statue will be of the actor and not any of his characters, reported The Indian Express

Babu, whose Bharat Ane Nenu has broken several box office records, thanked Madam Tussauds for the honour on Twitter.

Babu joins an elite list of Indian celebrities who have made it to the international galleries that includes Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Narendra Modi and Madhuri Dixit. According to reports, he is the second Telugu actor after Baahubali star Prabhas to get the statue treatment. Prabhas’ replica is in the Bangkok Madam Tussauds.

Babu’s political drama Bharat Ane Nenu has earned more than Rs 125 crores globally, according to reports. The film stars Babu as a chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh who wants to fix the rot in the political system.

Bharat Ane Nenu is Babu’s 24th film. He has previously appeared in the Telugu hits Okkadu (2003), Pokiri (2006), Dookudu (2011) and Srimanthudu (2015).
