In the trailer for upcoming animated film Hanuman Vs Mahiravana, the monkey god has to battle an array of monsters and dangerous creatures to rescue his heroes.
The film narrates the mythological tale of Mahiravana’s capture of Rama and Lakshmana. Ravana’s brother spirits the two away into an underground world and hopes to sacrifice them to the goddess Mahamaya. Hanuman travels there and battles Mahiravana’s army to rescue the brothers.
Directed by Ehil Vendan, Hanuman Vs Mahiravana has been co-produced by Gamaya and Green Gold Animation, the studio that created the animation television series Chhota Bheem. Hanuman Vs Mahiravana will be released on June 22. The movie will be distributed by Yash Raj Films.
“This movie is slated as a family entertainer and will have all the right emotions, fun and action,” Rajiv Chilaka, CEO and founder of Green Gold Animation, said in a press release. “We are delighted to present an untold story from Ramayana to the audience.”
