Sanjay Dutt is back to doing what he does best – playing a menacing gangster – in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3.
The third installment in the series that began in 2011 brings Jimmy Sheirgill back as Uttar Pradesh royal Aditya Pratap Singh and and Mahie Gill as his wife and scheming seductress Madhavi Devi.
Dutt, a much-awaited biopic about whom hit screens on Friday (Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju), has the lion’s share of meaty lines in the trailer and struts in suits, leather jackets, Pathani kurtas and bandhgalas. Dutt fills the shoes of Randeep Hooda and Irrfan, who played the titular dons in the first two films – Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster and 2013’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns – also directed by Dhulia.
Chitrangada Singh and Soha Ali Khan join the cast in supporting roles. The film will be released on July 27.
