Five women grapple with starkly different challenges in the trailer of the Bengali film Crisscross. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, Crisscross is an adaptation of Smaranjit Chakraborty’s 2014 novel of the same name.
Ira (Mimi Chakraborty) is a journalist married to her job. Suzy (Priyanka Sarkar), a single mother, is struggling to raise her child. Rupa (Sohini Sarkar) is a victim of domestic violence. The ambitious Miss Sen (Jaya Ahsan) places success over interpersonal ties. Meher (Nusrat Jahan) is a struggling actress looking for work. As the title suggests, the lives of these five women will soon intersect.
The cast includes Arjun Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakraborty, and Riddhima Ghosh Chakraborty. Crisscross will be released on August 10.
