An antique gun features in the first look of Amazon Prime’s original series Mirzapur that was released on Tuesday. Produced by Amazon Prime Video and Excel Media & Entertainment, Mirzapur “brings together heart-pounding action, and gangsters armed with sharp minds, dry humor and crafty moves”, a press release stated. The series features Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi.
Mirzapur has been created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, and marks the directorial debut of Gurmmeet Singh. It will be released later this year.
In an interview to Mid-Day in October 2017, Tripathi had said that she plays a character named Golu Gupta. “She’s a confident girl from Mirzapur who believes in living and doing things her way,” Tripathi told the newspaper. “Straight forward and honest, she doesn’t mice her words while talking.”
