Salman Khan’s character proclaims his attachment to India in the teaser for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, released on Wednesday to coincide with Independence Day.

Produced by Reel Life Productions and T-Series, Bharat is the official remake of Yoon Je-kyoon’s 2014 South Korean drama Ode to My Father, which traces the country’s history through the story of one man. The cast includes Katrina Kaif, Tabu and Disha Patani. Kaif was cast after Priyanka Chopra dropped out of the film in July.
Bharat marks Zafar’s third collaboration with Salman after Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). It is scheduled to be released on the Eid weekend next year.
