In the trailer of U Turn, simple questions have complicated consequences. Pawan Kumar’s mystery thriller is the official Tamil remake of his 2016 Kannada film of the same name, featuring Shraddha Srinath in the lead. U Turn has also previously been remade by director VK Prakash in Malayalam as Careful (2017).
U Turn centres on a journalist (Samantha Akkineni) who investigates a series of incidents on the Velachery flyover in Chennai. In the pursuit of information, she finds herself embroiled in several mysterious occurrences until she reels in doubt and confusion. “Everything that happened my life in the last five days…is it all real or an illusion?” she asks. The cast includes Aadhi, Bhumika Chawla and Rahul.
U Turn will be released in Telugu and Tamil on September 13.
