A new trailer for Vikram’s upcoming action drama Saamy Square, the sequel to Hari’s Saamy (2003), was released on Monday. Vikram is back with renewed vigour. “Oru Saamy,” (one Saamy) he thunders, as the trailer opens and begins counting up to six. “Aaru Saamy,” (six-times Saamy) he shouts at the camera, which also ends up shaking a bit.
The earth quakes in fear whenever Aarusaamy puts a foot forward; a storm rises as he walks out of the police station; men are sent flying through the air when Aarusaamy hits them. It isn’t clear though who or what he is fighting against. “Naan police illai, porikki,” he finally declares (I’m not a policeman but a rowdy).
Also starring Keerthy Suresh, Prabhu, Delhi Ganesh and Bobby Simha, the film is expected to be released in September.
