Watching Pakistan play cricket is quite the experience.

For one, in Twenty20, if all else fails, one is forced to depend on Shahid Afridi to put on his (non-existent) finisher hat. But secondly and more frustratingly, when things actually seem to be going well, Pakistan can still conjure up astounding ways to throw it away.

Pakistan had already served notice that they don’t really understand the concept of running between the wickets with some comical running in their recent One Day International series against England.

One of those displays came during the third ODI in Sharjah on November 17, when a Pakistan collapse from 132/3 to 156/8 included two comical run-outs.

As the above video from their first Twenty20 international against England proves, the script has turned to farce from comedy now. Umar Akmal and Sohaib Maqsood perhaps jointly forgot that in cricket, the batsman has to run to the opposite end.

The result: a photo finish not out of place in the athletics world, with both Akmal and Maqsood desperately trying make it to the non-striker's end.

The fun continued into the fourth ODI three days later as Mohammad Hafeez decided to “turn like the Titanic in mid-pitch”

Seen enough? No way, this is Pakistan we’re talking about and Hafeez ensured that he was in the thick of the action yet again in the final Twenty20 on Monday.
