Mechua village in West Bengal came under attack from a leopard today. The video above shows a man defending himself against the wild cat with only a stick, and not for too long. With one strike of his paw the leopard can be seen taking the man down.

According to reports three people were injured by the leopard.

Ambuj Mahato, one of the injured people, said, "It pounced on me when I was looking at the animal, like everyone else who was there."

The animal, which strayed into the village from a nearby forest, could not be tracked down by police and forest officials despite several hours of search operations.
