"Kashmir Day comes every year, but we do nothing except for creating problems for people."

"How many years has it been? Is it free?"

"I don't know anything about Kashmir."

The State in Pakistan officially marks Kashmir Day on February 5 each year, in supposed solidarity with the people of Kashmir. But although it's an official holiday, its significance or purpose is lost to the majority of Pakistanis.

The video above released by Dawn News shows the common reaction to the day, which for most is just another day off.

Pakistan observes the day by holding rallies and seminars to reiterate the need for Kashmir's freedom. In the video people respond to the question, "What does Kashmir Day mean to you?" – and for most people it means nothing more than a holiday. One person claims Kashmir as part of Pakistan, and a few others express sympathy towards the cause with the addendum that Pakistan needs to solve its own problems first.
